Devils Lake was our last stop in Wisconsin.
Sparse camping in between two medium sized red maples. Quartzite camping #18.
Collected dead wood, sawed, cut and quartered for a one night stay.
Combination of wood types and our fire spoke- alternating between singing, steaming, whistling.
Blue fire, orange meets yellow.
Howl wind; leaf ash.
Push it into the night, sing a song of strong winds and beginnings.
Morning mist and morning fire.
Mortar and pestle coffee grounds.
First fire coffee.
On our way. Stop at Middleton skate park and then head to the south.
